When is the best time to holiday in Coffs Harbour?

Every season in Coffs Harbour offers something different – we couldn’t pick our favourite time of year to visit the Coffs Coast if we tried!

Summer: For warm weather lovers, summer offers an abundance of sunshine, long days and warm nights.
Daylight Savings means that the sun doesn’t set until late in the evening, given you extra time in the day for warm weather activities like learning to surf, twilight food markets, sunbaking on 30+ outstanding beaches and more.

Autumn: During autumn in Coffs Harbour, the weather is generally sunny and mild – ideal for outdoor adventures like hiking and bushwalking, coastal walks, mountain biking and more. The crowds are often smaller and it’s a great time for day trips to the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area in Dorrigo.

Winter: Winter on the subtropical Coffs Coast isn’t like winter anywhere else! Imagine bright, clear days and nights just cold enough to cozy up next to a fire. The waves and beaches are uncrowded and best of all – it’s whale season! This is your chance to spot thousands of migrating whales and even go swimming with them.

Spring: Another perfect time to visit Coffs Harbour, spring is mild, sunny and ideal for outdoor activities. Wildflowers are in bloom throughout the National Parks and Botanic Garden, and it’s a beautiful time to explore the outdoors with fewer crowds and mild days.
